Green living is not merely a contemporary trend; it has become an integral component of student culture at Van Hien University (VHU). Through meaningful and practical actions in their daily lives, VHU students are contributing to the cultivation of greater environmental awareness and a stronger sense of responsibility toward the community.
Against the backdrop of growing global attention to sustainable development, promoting environmentally responsible lifestyles has become an important priority in higher education. At Van Hien University, a range of practical initiatives has been implemented to enhance students’ awareness of environmental protection, encourage responsible resource consumption, and foster sustainable habits in everyday life.
For VHU students, green living is reflected in a range of everyday practices, including carrying reusable water bottles, reducing reliance on single-use plastics, conserving electricity and water, sorting waste, maintaining a clean campus environment, and choosing environmentally friendly modes of transportation whenever feasible. These practices contribute to creating a greener, cleaner, more attractive, and welcoming learning environment.
Students also actively engage in volunteer activities, tree-planting and tree-care programs, environmental protection campaigns, community-based initiatives, and extracurricular activities aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Such experiences not only contribute to the development of essential competencies but also foster students’ sense of social responsibility, civic engagement, and appreciation of the natural environment.
Every environmentally responsible action undertaken today contributes to laying the foundation for a more sustainable future. When students collectively embrace and promote sustainable habits, these positive values can be reinforced and extended throughout the university community, contributing to the development of Van Hien University as a modern, responsible, and environmentally sustainable institution of higher education.
Green living is no longer simply a matter of individual choice; it increasingly reflects the values and identity of Van Hien University students—dynamic and socially responsible young people who are committed to taking meaningful action toward a greener and more sustainable future.
