In the spirit of international academic cooperation, Van Hien University is honored to collaborate with Jeonbuk National University (Korea) to organize the event “Academic Forum 2025 – International Conference and Capstone Design Program”. The event took place from August 15 to August 20, 2025. This is an opportunity for faculty, scholars, and students of both universities to exchange knowledge and share experiences through meaningful research and creative activities.

Part 1: International Conference
The opening ceremony took place on August 16 at Tran Hung Dao Hall – Van Hien University, with the academic theme: “Entangled Histories and Shared Cultural Memories between Korea and Vietnam”.
At the conference, scholars delivered significant academic presentations that offered new perspectives on the bilateral relationship and the historical–cultural interactions between the two nations.

Part 2: Capstone Design Program
Held from August 17 to August 19, the Capstone Design project was a special highlight of the event. With the participation of 11 graduate students from Jeonbuk National University’s Department of Archival Science – Office Management, and 42 students majoring in Korean Studies from Van Hien University’s Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, the participants were divided into 10 groups with the following topics:
Architecture: Traditional houses, Religious architecture
Cuisine: Food culture, Famous restaurants
Clothing: School uniforms, Traditional costume
Culture: Folk games, K-pop
Customs & Practices: Folk healing methods, Folk superstitions
Each group consisted of 1–2 graduate students from Jeonbuk National University and 3–5 students from Van Hien University, working together to research, analyze, and prepare a presentation on the chosen topic.

Closing Ceremony and Awards
On August 19, at HungHau Campus – Room HEC706, the groups presented their research findings before a panel of professors from both Jeonbuk National University and Van Hien University. With fair and thoughtful evaluations from the judges, the program awarded the following prizes:

The closing and award ceremony concluded the series of activities with many lasting impressions, promising to create a strong academic and cultural exchange. The event opened new opportunities for continued collaboration, networking, and development between the two universities.
The event “Academic Forum 2025 – International Conference and Capstone Design Program” not only strengthened the friendship between Vietnam and Korea but also provided Van Hien students with access to international knowledge, enhanced research capacity, and academic skills development in a multicultural environment.
