In accordance with the instructional plan for the third semester of the 2024–2025 academic year, Dr. Trịnh Văn Vinh organized a field study program for students enrolled in the course “History of the Communist Party of Vietnam.” The program was conducted at the War Remnants Museum, located in Võ Thị Sáu Ward, District 3 (former), Ho Chi Minh City, from June 24 to June 26, 2025.
During the field study sessions, students from all course classes were provided with guided tours conducted by the Museum’s staff. The guides offered comprehensive information regarding the exhibition areas as well as the system of artifacts and archival materials displayed across the Museum’s specialized thematic galleries.
The War Remnants Museum serves as a specialized institution engaged in research, collection, preservation, and exhibition of evidence concerning the crimes and consequences of wars of aggression against Vietnam. Through nine permanent thematic exhibitions, which present a representative system of artifacts and documentary sources illustrating the war crimes committed by U.S. imperialist forces in Vietnam, students were afforded an opportunity to engage with the history of the nation in general, and the history of the Communist Party of Vietnam in particular, through authentic and vivid images and material evidence. This activity has contributed significantly to consolidating and enhancing students’ understanding of the leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam, as well as the Central Office for South Vietnam, in directing the national resistance war against U.S. imperialist aggression.
