To equip students with essential skills before entering internships and the professional workplace, the Korean Studies department organized a mock recruitment interview session with the participation of a panel of lecturers, including:
• Ms. Dang Thi Dieu Linh – Lecturer, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Korean Studies
• Ms. Baek Myeong Jin – Lecturer, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Korean Studies
• Ms. Le Dang Tuong Vy – Lecturer, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Korean Studies
• Mr. Luu Nhue Bang – Lecturer, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Korean Studies
The activity was designed as a face-to-face interview simulation, replicating a real recruitment process and providing students with the opportunity to experience a professional interview environment right in their classroom at HungHau Campus, Van Hien University. During the session, students took turns responding to questions covering self-introduction, career orientation, academic experience, professional skills, and situational problem-solving.
The interview panel posed a wide range of questions to comprehensively assess students’ communication skills, critical thinking, and professional attitude. While maintaining a formal structure, the session also fostered an open and supportive atmosphere, enabling students to demonstrate their abilities while gaining valuable practical experience.
After each interview round, the lecturers provided direct feedback and detailed comments on each student’s content, demeanor, language use, and communication skills. These practical insights helped students clearly identify their strengths while offering guidance on areas for improvement to enhance their performance in future interviews. Through this simulation, students not only practiced answering interview questions but also developed greater confidence, professional manners, and adaptability to real working environments. The activity also enabled them to better understand employers’ expectations, thereby encouraging proactive preparation of the knowledge and skills required for internships and job seeking. The mock interview session concluded successfully, delivering meaningful and practical experiences. It contributed to creating a learning environment closely connected to real-world practice, helping Korean Studies students gradually refine themselves and prepare for their future career paths.
