On December 19, 2025, at Meeting Room 1, Campus 613, Van Hien University solemnly held an MOU signing ceremony with Wonkwang University (Korea), marking an important milestone in the University’s strategy for the internationalization of education.
Representatives of Van Hien University included:
• Mr. Tran Anh Dung – Executive Director, HungHau Holdings
• Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Linh – Director, International Institute
• Ms. Huynh Thi Mai Trinh – Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities
• Faculty members from the Department of Oriental Studies (Korean Studies), Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities
Representatives of Wonkwang University (Korea) included:
• Mr. Kang Yeon Seok – Head of the Office of International Cooperation, Wonkwang University
• Ms. Park Shin Young – Director, Korean Cultural Center in Ho Chi Minh City
The meeting focused on discussing and reaching agreements on cooperation contents within the student exchange program between the two universities, with particular emphasis on students majoring in Korean Studies and Pharmacy.
At the ceremony, representatives of both sides discussed various forms of short-term and long-term student exchange programs; opportunities for study, internships, and cultural experiences in Korea for Van Hien University students; possibilities for collaboration in professional training and academic support for students of Korean Studies and Pharmacy; and orientations for expanding cooperation in research and academic exchange in the future.
Representatives of Van Hien University affirmed that the signing of the MOU with Wonkwang University not only contributes to improving the quality of education but also opens up many practical international learning opportunities for students, helping them enhance their professional competence, foreign language proficiency, and global integration skills.
From the side of Wonkwang University, representatives expressed their confidence in the potential for long-term cooperation with Van Hien University and committed to creating favorable conditions for Vietnamese students during their study and living in Korea.
This MOU signing serves as clear evidence of Van Hien University’s continuous efforts to expand its international partnership network, especially with reputable universities in Korea, thereby contributing to the University’s goal of training high-quality human resources to meet the demands of integration and development in the current era.
